R+K Promotes Three, Adds Another to Agency Staff

R+K announces the promotion of three staff plus the addition of a new public relations (PR) team member.

The agency has promoted Kelsey Hart to the position of Account Supervisor on the agency’s Account Management + Planning team. In her new position, Hart will provide strategic direction and account oversight for the Bayer cereals business and the FS seed account.

“Kelsey began her career as an R+K intern and has risen up through the agency. This should come as no surprise to anyone who has encountered Kelsey during her time here,” said R+K Senior Vice President Jeff Walter. “She leads her brands with proactivity and excellence and continues to take on additional responsibilities. She’s done it all with her signature style that has won over clients and agency partners.”

R+K also promotes Emily Johnson to Senior Account Manager, Public Relations. Johnson, who joined the agency in 2016, will lead public relations strategies and activities for the Bayer Seed Growth, Credenz and cereals teams.

“Emily always asks the right questions and is dedicated to delivering quality work. She has a positive and optimistic spirit and earns the trust of colleagues and clients alike,” said Amy McEvoy, R+K Account Director-PR and Associate PR Director.

R+K has promoted Jim Holstine to Studio Manager. In addition to his production artist responsibilities, Jim will work closely with the Creative and Creative Services teams to manage studio staff and, as needed, freelance talent.

“Jim brings an uncanny eye for detail, sense of organization, day-to-day thought-leadership and proactive problem-solving skills to his new role,” said Jason Fuerst, R+K Creative Services Manager.

Michelle Nickrent joins R+K as an Assistant Account Manager on its public relations team. She will provide support on the Bayer horticulture and cereals businesses. Nickrent grew up in Sterling, Ill. She recently graduated with a bachelor of science in agriculture communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also was a member of the Fighting Illini Marching Band.
