Steve Rhea co-founded R+K in 1978 with the belief that clients don’t just look to an advertising agency for ads, they look to that agency for results. And over the last 32 years, he has taken that bit of uncommon sense and transformed it into a full-service marketing communications company filled with people who think and act and deliver — results. As chairman of the board, Steve remains involved in R+K’s business and retains ownership of R+K along with agency co-founder Van Kaiser. Steve began his career at Webb Publishing in St. Paul, Minn. Two years later, he joined International Harvester as editor of IH FARM and later became an advertising manager. In 1973, he joined Wyse Advertising and began working with Van Kaiser. In 1978, they bought Wyse Advertising’s Chicago assets and started R+K.
