Since joining Rhea + Kaiser in 2001, Amy McEvoy, senior account supervisor, public relations, has executed strong PR efforts for a range of R+K clients. Currently, Amy is part of the public relations teams working with Valley Irrigation and Bayer CropScience. Amy brings to R+K a broad range of agricultural, food, nutrition and biotechnology experience. Before joining R+K, Amy worked for Hanser & Associates, a PR firm in West Des Moines, Iowa, and Fleishman-Hillard (FH) in Kansas City, Mo. At FH she was responsible for consumer public relations efforts on behalf of the Wheat Foods Council, Ocean Spray Cranberries and Missouri Nutrition Network. Amy got her start as a public affairs intern with The Gazette in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. While attending Iowa State University, Amy served on the executive boards of several campus organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and mass communication and public service and administration in agriculture. Amy is a member of the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Her work has been recognized numerous times by PRSA and NAMA, including awards for internal communications, community relations, writing, customer events, media relations and overall public relations programs.
